Barbara Jacobsen is a mother of five and grandmother of eight living in Chicago and occasionally Atlanta. She has painted off and on most of her adult life and with the isolation picked up her grandkids’ paints and started up. She’s moved on to some actual watercolor paper and likes to use charcoal in addition to her pieces. The subject of this series has been the virus and politics and the emotional distress she felt watching the entire crisis unfold. Each day a new topic. Barbara had the virus for five weeks and although she recovered it’s a very emotional topic for her.
